My scientific career spans a period of 40 years during which I worked in academic teaching, supervision, scientific administration and consultancies. In 1999, I founded the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (IGEB) for graduate studies in the University of Baghdad, with Prof. Dr. Ali A. Al-Zaag deanship, the IGEB has been recognized as one of Iraq’s advanced research institutions.
Was born at St Benoit sur Loire (France) on 31/01/1941. In the year 1980, we have discovered vaccination in Echinodermata by immunizations with various antigens (with or without Freund'adjuvant). Later, with co-workers, I discovered the sea star IgKappa gene. Its sequence was composed of about 435 nucleotides. We have studied the effects of the sea star IgKappa gene on cancerous human cells (Hela cells, Melanoma cells). Mainly the sea star Igkappa gene, incorporated in a plasmid (CMV plasmid), exerts high spontaneous cytotoxicity against Hela cells. But it doesn't constitute, in fact, in the present time, good therapy for Cancer diseases. On the other hand, we consider that the sea star Igkappa gene and the IPA (Invertebrate primitive antibody) are "PRIMITIVE". So, as "Young" elements, they may play a role, in the immunotherapy of various diseases. It is why we envisage to use them in coronavirus disease and particularly Covid 19 disease. We think that this primitive antibody may add a positive effect to immunodeficient pathology which was provoked by covid invading. As an old researcher, I look for co-workers who can help me in this work.

Dr. Ian Haworth is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences at USC. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, UK, and then spent three years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford, UK, before joining USC in 1992. His research work lies at the interfaces of chemistry, biochemistry, and computational prediction of molecular structure. This work involves development and utilization of algorithms for prediction of drug-protein molecular interactions and simulation of ADME properties of drugs. Dr. Haworth's laboratory has published about 100 scientific articles on this work. Current projects include examining the relationship of affinity with solvation at drug-protein interfaces; prediction of ionic solubility for utilization in ADME models for prediction of drug delivery; and use of molecular informatics in prediction of peptide delivery. Dr. Haworth also has a major role in teaching of medicinal chemistry and biopharmaceutics in the Pharm.D., Ph.D. and Masters programs at USC, and he has lectured and taught courses on this content worldwide. He is also currently Co-Director of the International Summer Program in the USC School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Haworth has utilized problem-based learning and active learning in teaching of Pharm.D. science courses for many years, and he has published and presented widely on these educational approaches.
