    Prof. Andrey Nikolaevych Belousov is a graduate of the Kharkov Medical Institute in 1988. He did his Doctor of Medicine degree on specialty - Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in 2004. The title dissertation: “Extracorporal hemocorrection using magnet-controlled sorbent in intensive therapy of intoxication syndromes in patients with hepatopancreatoduodenales dis­eases”. He is also an author of new medicinal products- nanotechnology preparations based on magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4) of the size 6-12 nm (www.nanolab.com.ua): the peroral form - Micromage-B (the biologically active additive officially registration in Ukraine); Magnet-controlled sorbent brand of MCS-B for extracorporal detoxication of biological liquids (officially registration in Ukraine and was allowed for medical practice); NanoBiocorrector for intravenous application – ICNB (intracorporal nano sorbent). A.N. Belousov is the author of the new method of extracorporal hemocorrection using magnet-controlled sor¬bent (MCS-B). He has got 7 patents for the invention. Author of the scientific film which focuses on the elaboration of the artificial liver device and the development of a new direction in medicine – Nanotechnology. Andrey Belousov was awarded Medical Diploma of Europe “An Honorary Scholar Europe” and R. Koch medal for the scientific achievements, development of a new direction in medicine, and elaboration of a new method of treatment by means of preparations of nanotechnology in 2008. Member of the Ukrainian and Russian Society Nanotechnology.

    Biography

                Prof. Petrunov is one of the leading specialists in the field of allergy and  immunology in Bulgaria. He was a chief of the Department of Immunology and Allergy in the National Center of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases /NCIPD/. He was 18 years ( 1993-2010 ) a Director of this oldest research and educational institution of  the Bulgarian health system. He graduated in 1960 cum laude from Medical University in Sofia and obtained his MD degree. He has specialized in Czech Republic, England, France, Holland, USA. More than 40 years Prof. Petrunov is working in the field of allergy and applied immunology. He founded in 1963 the first Laboratory of Allergy in this country manufacturing more than 200 allergen preparations for specific diagnosis and immunotherapy of the allergic diseases, largely used in the clinical practice.

    His main scientific interests and activities are related with: the immunological characteristic of the allergens and their mechanism of action in human organism; the effect of air pollution / outdoor and indoor / and drug abuse on immune system and allergization; the methods and mechanism of immunostimulation and a preparation and study different polybacterial immunostimulants, the allergy reactions in oral cavity and parodont. He is lecturing allergology and  immunology in Medical University, Sofia. As a guest-professor he has delivered lectures in Russia, USA, Canada, China, Australia, India, Cuba, Czech Republic, Libya.

    Prof. Petrunov is a member of the European Academy of  Allergology and Clinical Immunology, a foreign member of the Russian Academy of  Science, Honorary Member of the International Society of Immunorehabilitation, member of the Union of Scientists of Bulgaria, Bulgarian Immunological Society and is a President of the Bulgarian Society of Allergy. He is expert of WHO in allergology. He organized in India (1974 ) and Cuba ( 1884,1988 ) the first laboratories for studying the allergenic factors and producing allergen preparations. He is 10 years a member of the Supreme Medical Counsel to the Ministry of Health of Bulgaria. In 2008 he was elected as a Academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 2007 he was appointed as representative of Bulgaria in the European Medical Research Council to the European Commission. In 2010 he was elected as a President of the Medical Section of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

    Prof. Petrunov has published more than 200 scientific articles and is author and co-author of 10 books in allergology and immunology.     David Tzuriel, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus at Bar-Ilan University. He is a clinical and educational psychologist and an expert on dynamic assessment of learning potential and theory of mediated learning experience (MLE). David Tzuriel has received his B.A. (1970) and M.A. (1973) degrees in Psychology and Education at Bar-Ilan University (Israel) and his Ph.D. (1977) from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Currently he works as Head of the Research Unit at Feuerstein Institute in Jerusalem and Chairman of Graduate Program of Learning Disabilities Program at Talpiot College. David Tzuriel served as the President of the International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology (1999-2001) and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cognitive Education and Psychology (JCEP; 2006-2011; 2016--). His scientific work is related to empirical validation, implementation, and modification of the theories of Feuerstein and Vygotsky, and his research is cited frequently in the literature.

    David Tzuriel supervised 95 MA and Ph.D. students, and published many studies and books in the field of dynamic assessment, cognitive modifiability, parent-child mediated interactions, peers and siblings mediation, spatial abilities, executive functions and effectiveness of cognitive education programs. David Tzuriel is known as a leader and developer of the dynamic assessment movement and taught more than 200 international workshops.

    • Dr. Tarro has been engaged in medical research for over 30 years. In 1956 began his medical studies at Messina University and then in 1960 continued at Naples University from which he received his M.D. "summa cum laude» in 1962 and the professorship for Oncological Virology in 1972. His research work began in 1960 in the virology laboratory of the Department of Medical Pathology at the University of Naples and continued during the entire period of his medical studies. In I963 and 1964 he was at the Polyclinic of the University in Naples receiving training in pathology, neurology, and internal medicine. 
    • Dr. Tarro's researches in Virology have been both basic and mission-oriented. His basic researches have been concerned with antigens induced early during the replication cycle of herpes simplex virus (HSV). Specific antibodies were detected by the enzyme-Linked immunosorbent assay in the serum of patients affected with certain carcinomas of the head, neck, and urogenital tract. His mission-oriented research has dealt with many aspects of various infectious diseases including broncho-pneumonia, encephalitis, cholera, and the diseases caused by different viruses.

    Dr. Zhan received his undergraduate and graduate training in the fields of preventive medicine and epidemiology and statistics at the West China University of Medical Sciences in China from 1989 to 1999. He received his post-doctoral training in oncology and cancer proteomics for two years at the Cancer Research Institute of Human Medical University in China. In 2001, he went to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in the USA, where he was a post-doctoral researcher and focused on mass spectrometry and cancer proteomics. Then, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Neurology, UTHSC in 2005. He moved to the Cleveland Clinic in the USA as a Project Scientist/Staff in 2006 where he focused on the studies of eye disease proteomics and biomarkers. He returned to UTHSC as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the end of 2007, engaging in proteomics and biomarker, studies of lung diseases and brain tumors, and initiating the studies of predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (PPPM) in cancer. In 2010, he was promoted to Associate Professor of Neurology, UTHSC. Currently, he is the European EPMA National Representative in China, Associate Editors of BMC Genomics and of BMC Medical Genomics. He has published 102 peer-reviewed research articles including about 75 articles in the field of disease proteomics and transcriptomics, 9 book chapters, and 2 US patents.

    Ph.D. in clinical psychology in the School of Psychology and Educational Sciences, at the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, and received her master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the same University. Recently, she published the book: Are Mass Media Health strategists? (2005). This research is based on mass media role in breast cancer prevention.

    Her work has been published in several Portuguese scientific magazines in the field of Health Psychology. She published a book: The Lost Emerald: Information given to breast cancer patients (1997; 2ªEdition 2005), and is co-editor of Clinic Dentistry: Bio-psycho-social contributes (2000). She is also co-publisher, jointly with Estrella Durá, Ph.D., from Spain, of a book about Oncologic Psychology- The Land of Oncolological Psychology (2002), which collects papers from Spanish and Portuguese researchers in the field of oncology.

    For the last two years, she has been named as Member of the Portuguese Jury of the European Health Education Award, organized by the European Commission. She is a member of the Portuguese Committee of Europa Donna, a member of the European Society of Health Psychology and a founding member of the Portuguese Society of Health Psychology, and currently, a Member of its Executive Committee, having been recently appointed as Chairman of the Psycho-oncology Group. Being trained in child psychotherapy, she is a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Children and Youngster and she also published some books of literature for children.

    Research Interest

    Health education and health psychology particularly in the field of Psycho-oncology emphasizing aspects such as doctor-patient communication in hospital contexts, the disclosure of information to breast cancer patients, the psychosocial profiles of breast cancer patients, and the impact of breast cancer in partners and children.

    • He is a Member of the head committee of the Breast-Gynecological International Cancer Society " BGICS ".
