Proteomics & Bioinformatics Research is a peer reviewed international journal which provides an open access platform for the research community to communicate the advancements in the broad field of bioinformatics and proteomics in animal, plant and microbial world. Proteomics is a field with tremendous growth in the past few years and is concerned with the systematic study of proteins in order to provide a comprehensive view of the structure, function and role in the regulation of a biological system. Sophisticated bioinformatics tools are being developed to handle the vast quantity of data resulting from genomics and proteomics studies. There are several difficulties in the study of proteins that are not inherent in the study of nucleic acids and it calls for extensive research efforts.
