Dr. Farid Menaa is an inter- and multi-disciplinary professional with worldwide reputation. He has three international post-doctoral terms in Oncology, Dermatology, and Hematology; MBA Entrepreneurship and MD candidate. During his ongoing career, he has mainly contributed to the identification and functions of new human disease-causing genes and variants, formulated natural products for anti-aging and developed innovative theranostic strategies against cancers, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity and infectious diseases. He has more than 10 years’ experiences either in the academic, hospitals or industrial sectors. As Chief Scientific Officer and Vice-President R&D at Fluorotronics, Inc. he actively participated in the development of the disruptive “Carbon-Fluorine Spectroscopy”. Dr. Menaa collaborates with various organizations worldwide. He is a member of several prestigious medical and scientific organizations and editorial boards in the field of medicine, science, technology and business, including in the nano-segment. He has authored more than 100 articles including research and review articles, books, book chapters, textbooks, proceedings, and has participated to over 200 scientific international events including as co-organizer, keynote speaker, chairman. Dr. Menaa’s worldwide collaborations, holistic point of view and strong expertise in various fields led him to prevent, implement early diagnosis, and develop efficient and safer therapy.
Dr. Farid Menaa’s research interest includes Preventive Medicine, Personalized Medicine, Translational Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Green Medicine, Nanomedicine, Biotechnology, and Nanotechnology.

Earlier, he has carried on his postdoctoral research at UNL, Nebraska, where computational programming has been used for the nano-level understanding of forces in AFM, and then as a research associate at JNU, Delhi wherein mutational studies on protein systems were part of the work.
Prof. Bing-Huei Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Food Science & Technology, Texas A & M University, the USA in 1988. His postgraduate career includes working at Fu Jen University, Taipei, Taiwan as Associate Professor from 1988–1994, Professor from 1994–2004, Chair of Department of Nutrition and Food Science from 1994-2000, Director of Graduate Institute of Medicine from 2006–2009, and Dean of College of Human Ecology from 2012–2015. Until now he has published 194 research articles in internationally renowned journals and authored 11 book chapters in edited books published by International Publishers. He has received numerous awards including the prestigious National Invention Gold Medal Award by the Ministry of Economics, Taiwan in 2018 and was honored with Outstanding Research Scientist by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

Catholic University Chile under the supervision of Prof. Javier Jordana (1990-1995). Pekinensis”. The aim of my Ph.D. thesis work was to improve the aliphatic glucosinolate level (AGSL) in Brassica rapa ssp. pekinensis (Chinese cabbage). The research was divided into two parts, such as increase the AGSL level using i) structural genes, ii) regulatory genes. Post-doctoral position: August 2016 to July 2018 – National Post-doctoral fellow in DST-SERB N-PDF scheme in the project “Enhancement of biodiesel production in Jatropha curcas through the genetic transformation of Arabidopsis thaliana purple acid phosphatase 2 (AtPAP2)” in the Department of Biotechnology, at Bharathiar University.

Afterward, she served as a senior manager in Hindustan Bioenergy Ltd Lucknow India. In 2010 she moved to Texas, USA. Joined Texas Tech University for postdoctoral training and then the University of Texas for three years. She moved to Birmingham Alabama and joined the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics, the University of Alabama as a Research Associate. She also completed her MBA with a concentration in Healthcare from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama in 2020.
